About consulting inquiries
If you are writing about a possible consulting engagement, please include in your first message:
- A short description of the problem (one paragraph is enough).
- Whether the work is bench, analytical, or process-review in character.
- The rough timeline you have in mind.
- Whether an NDA will be required up front.
I do not take on engagements involving controlled substances, explosives, or anything that would require Schedule I or Schedule II handling. (This comes up more often than one might expect; I prefer to set the expectation early.)
